"PLANET OF THE APES"!
(1968)

Chuck stars as George Taylor, a cynical astronaut who takes a mission to travel into the future - to escape the present.

Taylor crash-lands onto a seemingly inhospitable, barren planet...which, as he discovers when he is captured and collared by the planet's inhabitants, is a land where apes rule and humans are treated as slaves!

Taylor is fortunate that he has champions in compassionate simian scientists and spouses Cornelius (Roddy McDowall) and Zira (Kim Hunter)...but his ability to speak baffles and worries the planet's chief spiritual leader, Dr. Zaius (Maurice Evans).

Being a prime specimen of the sub-creatures known as "humans", Taylor is placed in a cage with the beautiful, silent Nova (Linda Harrison) - since Dr. Zira hopes they will mate!

(Just kidding...the gun was provided by Cornelius and Zira.)

"Get your stinking paws off me...you damned, dirty ape!" (So...how DOES one say "that line" in Spanish?)

Chuck makes a brief appearance in the first sequel, "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" (starring James Franciscus)...and a cameo appearance in Tim Burton's 2001 remake of the original!
