FASHIONSTATE.COM'S
VIVIEN LEIGH PHOTO ALBUM:
VIVIEN - THE GOSSAMER 60s

A collection of photos
from some of her best-known performances.

"The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" (1961)

Changing times, different roles -
Vivien as lonely widow Karen Stone
in the film written by Tennessee Williams.

Mrs. Stone is desperate for the love and attention
of calculating gigolo Paolo (Warren Beatty).

"Ship of Fools" (1965)

Vivien as bitter divorcee Mary Treadwell
in her last film "Ship of Fools"
co-starring Lee Marvin as Mr. Denney,
the coarse washed-up baseball player.

Mrs. Treadwell fends off the advances
of the ship's junior officer (Werner Klemperer).

A major misunderstanding between
Mrs. Treadwell and Mr. Denney.
